Indigenous Peoples' lives in Protected Areas: Community-Based Monitoring and Information System (CBMIS) Case Study from Bardiya and Shuklaphanta National Parks and Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve in Nepal

The publication documents the socio-economic conditions, cultural practices, and traditional knowledge of Indigenous Peoples living in and around three protected areas – Bardiya & Shuklaphanta National Parks and Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve through Community-Based Monitoring and Information Systems (CBMIS) with Indigenous leaders, knowledge holders, youth and women for evidence-based and rights-based conservation policy advocacy for recognizing Indigenous Peoples as sovereign stewards and knowledge holders contributing to build a just, sustainable and resilient future.
