CIPRED is delighted to join the celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ Day and contribute to the important session on Indigenous Peoples’ rights, knowledge systems, and living heritage.
Dr. Pasang Dolma Sherpa, along with other distinguished panelists, shared the importance of Indigenous education for our children at schools and universities to build our passion, ownership, and responsibility for continuing our knowledge, values, and customary governance systems at all levels for the protection of our intangible cultural heritage, dignity, and self-determination.
Dr. Pasang Sherpa, focusing on Indigenous healing systems, highlighted that they are not only medical practices but also integral components of Indigenous knowledge, governance, resilience, and the spiritual interconnectedness with nature.
On this International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, CIPRED invites you to join hands for the recognition of the roles and contributions of Indigenous women in traditional healing practices and the well-being of our communities.
